What Service A and Service B actually include

The dealership gives you a price. Here is the work itself, operation by operation. The highlighted lines are what sets each service apart.

Service A

First scheduled service, then alternating with B

  1. Change engine oil and oil filter with fully synthetic oil
  2. Complete inspection of brake system
  3. Inspect and top off fluid levels
  4. Perform Midtronics battery test
  5. Inspect chassis as necessary
  6. Install fuel system treatment into fuel tank
  7. Inspect cabin A/C filter
  8. Perform all-around safety inspection
  9. Inspect and clean air filter
  10. Reset Flexible Service System (FSS) indicator
  11. Check air pressure and tire conditiononly in A
  12. Inspect belts and hoses
  13. Inspect front, rear and interior electrical lighting
  14. Inspect coolant level and antifreeze protection
  15. Connect diagnosis scanner to check vehicle codesonly in A

15 operations

Service B

The larger scheduled service, alternating with A

  1. Change engine oil and oil filter with fully synthetic oil
  2. Complete inspection of brake system
  3. Inspect and top off fluid levels
  4. Perform Midtronics battery test
  5. Inspect chassis as necessary
  6. Install fuel system treatment into fuel tank
  7. Inspect cabin A/C filter
  8. Perform all-around safety inspection
  9. Inspect and clean air filter
  10. Reset Flexible Service System (FSS) indicator
  11. Rotate tires if applicable, check air pressure and conditiononly in B
  12. Inspect belts and hoses
  13. Inspect front, rear and interior electrical lighting
  14. Inspect coolant level and antifreeze protection
